Marian 14th January 2020

What can I say about my dear friend Nuala? We met at the Ursuline. We were in different forms and forged our friendship on the 179 bus and in dingy folk clubs in the backs streets of Notting Hill, Camden and Liverpool Street. Later, we shared a crazy flat with 8 others, in Ilford of all places, before our studies, careers and families took us along different paths. We re- entwined at different points in our lives , latterly through more sedate pleasures, a chat, a walk and the cinema. I feel blessed to have spent a long weekend with her in Suffolk in the autumn. Nuala was a beautiful person, inside and out. Kind, loving, creative and compassionate, intellectual and intuitive, a deep thinker, spiritual yet grounded, resourceful and resilient. Devoted to her 3 children Ailis, Aoife and Malachi, of whom she was very proud. Nuala’s work brought her face to face with the darkest sides of human nature and experience, yet she remained resolute- a seeker of the truth with a firm belief in the power of healing. I feel privileged to have had her in my life .Sincere condolences to her family , friends, colleagues and clients. We will miss her dearly May she Rest in Peace Marian Goodrich
