Nuala was a lover and sometime writer of ecopoetry, having a special affinity with the American, Ilford-born poet Denise Levertov. I met her through mutual friend Ros Bedlow, and invited her to join the Transition Leytonstone poetry performance group, E11 Eco. She performed with us at least twice, firstly on National Poetry Day (October 2, 2014) at the Hornbeam Cafe, and secondly at Divestival (January 28, 2017), where we celebrated the council's plans to divest from fossil fuels. I miss Nuala very much, her death was a real shock- and sadly my current responsibilities mean that I will not be able to attend the Quaker Meeting House today. I am uploading photos of the 2 Denise Levertov poems that Nuala performed with us: 'It should be visible' and 'Those who want out'. Sadly at the moment I cannot locate a 3rd poem, written by Nuala herself, called 'Falling to Earth'. If anyone has a copy, please do upload it here.
